Terms of Service

• You must be 18 years or older to use the Service.
• You must register with accurate information and keep it up to date.
• One account per person. Creating multiple accounts is not allowed.
• You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your password secure.

Told Ya is a free-to-play game. You post takes about football, and you can attach a call — a specific prediction about a real match or season — which the app settles against the real-world outcome. Calls earn or cost points, and your record is public. Told Ya is not a betting service, a sportsbook, or a gambling operator. No purchase or payment is required to play.

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms, attempts to manipulate results, or harms other users or the Service.

You agree not to:

• Use bots, scripts, automation, or the API/database directly to submit, alter or read calls outside the normal app;
• Attempt to submit or change a call after its lock time (kickoff), or otherwise exploit bugs or timing;
• Create multiple or fake accounts, or collude to manipulate leaderboards;
• Interfere with, attack, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service;
• Use the Service for anything unlawful, or post offensive, infringing or harmful content.

Breaking these rules can mean disqualification, point removal, and account closure.

A call locks at the kickoff of the match it concerns, or at the deadline shown for a season-long call. Once locked, a call cannot be changed or deleted — that permanence is the point of the game.

Points are awarded according to the rules shown in-app. We may correct scoring errors and adjust points to reflect the correct outcome.

If a match is postponed, cancelled, abandoned or awarded without being played, calls on it are voided: no points are won or lost, and the call is excluded from your hit rate.

Results and statistics are sourced from third-party data providers. We are not responsible for errors, delays or gaps in third-party data, but we will make reasonable efforts to apply the correct official results.

We may change scoring rules for future seasons; we won't retroactively change the rules of a season already under way except to fix genuine errors.

You can create or join private groups to compete with friends on a private leaderboard.

Told Ya provides the leaderboard and bragging rights only. Told Ya does not collect, hold, process, escrow or distribute any money between group members. Any arrangement members make between themselves is a private matter strictly between those members; Told Ya is not a party to it, takes no fee, and accepts no responsibility for it.

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you grant us a licence to store, display and distribute it to operate the Service. You are responsible for what you post, and you must have the right to post it.

You can delete your own takes. A take carrying a call cannot be deleted, because the call is a permanent part of your public record.

The Service, including its name, logo, design, and content, belongs to Told Ya and is protected by law. You may not copy, modify, or reuse it without permission.

Told Ya is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with FIFA, any football federation, any league, or any club or player. All trademarks belong to their respective owners. References to competitions and teams are for identification only.

We aim to keep the Service running but don't guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. We may modify, suspend or discontinue features at any time.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Told Ya is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for loss arising from third-party data errors, service interruptions, or matters outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Spanish law (including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these Terms.

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified in-app or by email, and the "Last updated" date will change. Continuing to use the Service after changes means you accept them.

These Terms are governed by Spanish law. Disputes will be subject to the competent courts of Madrid, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that entitle you to bring proceedings in your country of residence. EU users may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform.
